After years of struggling with heavy, sagging, and uneven breasts, I finally decided to undergo breast reduction surgery. Since the results would stay with me for life, I was extremely cautious in choosing the right surgeon, hospital, and city. During my research, I came across a reel by Dr. Karthik Ram on the Chennai Plastic Surgery page. From there, I explored their reels, podcasts, reviews, website blogs, before-and-after photos, as well as the detailed pre- and post-operative instructions. In that consultation, I was examined thoroughly to check for any breast lumps, and both Dr. Karthik Ram and Dr. Sushmitha explained the surgery process, what to expect, and gave suggestions on options suitable for me. They also described in detail how my scars and wounds would heal, while being honest about the pros and cons of breast reduction. Every question I had was answered patiently and clearly. After careful consideration, I decided to go ahead with the surgery.

The pre-op guidance, surgical process, and post-op care were excellent. Throughout the journey, the surgeons and nurses ensured I was comfortable both mentally and physically. My surgery was performed by Dr. Karthik Ram, Dr. Sushmitha, Dr. Nishar, and Dr. Mradhul Guptha, and the results exceeded my expectations. At 7 weeks post-op, I am amazed by the new shape of my breasts, the relief of reduced weight, and the excitement of being able to wear outfits I couldn’t before. The transformation feels incredible. All this was possible because of the team and I am truly grateful for giving me this result.

And not to forget the post-op care the nursing team - Ramya, Nisha, Kalpana, Ragavi, Santhiya - gave me. They were all very cooperative, understanding, polite, careful, attentive and gentle. They guided me on post-op dressing, home care, and provided helpful suggestions. Thank you, all nurses, for giving me the guidance needed and treating me well.

Even now, if I message the hospital about any minor concern I experience, the surgeons respond promptly, often with a voice note guiding me regarding the issue. The level of ongoing care is something I doubt any hospitals provide. I am very glad and do not at all regret my decision.

Overall, the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The results are magical, and I have never once felt like an outsider at Chennai Plastic Surgery — it truly felt like home. The surgeons and nurses are the most supportive team I’ve met, and I’m beyond happy with this journey. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for this amazing ride. If you are entering their center with a global eye ,then they will definitely look tiny for your eyes...but then you will slowly realize that they are not small but a nano. From the welcoming at the reception to the consultation, you cannot expect a conventional hospital environment there and i hope that is key purpose one could choose this place as you can access from the staff nurse to the chief surgeon even..

Met Dr.Karthik Ram(The Chief Surgeon-Chennai Plastic Surgery ) after few minutes of waiting (got little angry of waiting after a fixed appointment but when i came to know that he is back from several surgeries, understood his delay..). He introduced to his colleague Dr. Arvind and started my consultation ,as i done my liposuction already in the year 2007 (from a different hospital and not happy about the result ) i was very skeptical about doing the liposuction again and asked him whether i can go ahead with the bariatric surgery but to my surprise both the doctors denied spontaneously not to opt for it when i am no way near that level.(before meeting Dr.karthik ram , i consulted few other doctors who actually suggested to go ahead with the bariatric as a permanent solution even though am just 89kg). I was completely zapped by the level of knowledge and experience these two doctors have in their field suggested me to do some tests and come back with the results so that they can decide whether to go ahead with the liposuction now or later...( since am a diabetic they wanted to make sure my sugar levels are in control ). Believe it or not , they didn’t even charge me any consulting fees for it (and first time in my lifetime i seen an hospital that values its customer than an upfront money )..

So i went back with my results two days later (from my preferred lab- as they don’t insist on which lab we should go..),After seeing my results Dr.Karthik

asked me to consult with his anaesthetist before deciding on the surgery(only because am diabetic , they wanted to double sure on everything)…. Met the Anaesthetist Dr.TNS who is again an young cool person ,clarified all my doubts that includes the chances of mortality (gave me extreme confidence about the surgery ) and suggested me to stay for a day post surgery in the hospital to monitor my sugar levels even though it is a day care surgery.so i fixed a date and went back home (nothing i paid to the hospital till date- surprise for me continued…)

The Chennai Plastic Surgery front office sent me a detailed budget email on how much it would cost me for the surgery and post surgery and given me two centre for operation including a larger brand and a little know brand pretty close to their centre(i preferred the closer one since they sent me the pics of the OT looked perfect for my surgery ) , even though i had to cancel the operation dates for couple of times with no committed amount , Dr.karthik stays with the same cute smile and said whenever i am comfortable and ready ,then they can go ahead with my surgery..so i finally frozen the date to 20/2/2016( Saturday) and asked to be there by 7am.

I went to the Chennai Plastic Surgery centre at 7 am and in few minutes , i was taken to the consultation room for the markings (both the chief and dr. arvind was there ) and asked me whether am mentally prepared for the surgery and also asked me to stay drained for another two hours so that they can finish bit smaller duration surgery…meanwhile i was allotted to an executive room at the nearest hospital where the surgery is gone be performed and other activities like body shaving and blood sugar checking where continuously performed and i didn’t even feel like i was waiting…by around 9.45 am i was walked in to the operation theatre where all the three doctors and staff nurses waiting for me, in the background i hear AR Rahaman songs and it was like wow and i was thinking these guys surely understand the patient’s psychology before treating the one…Dr.karthik ram asked me where i would like to visit while they are performing the surgery i replied “somewhere i could travel and come back safe “ , he laughed and said don’t worry about coming back ,you are completely in the safer hands…I said then let me go to Switzerland… that was the last words i spoke before i woke up after he calling me and said the surgery is over….

After Few hours of anaesthetic effects , i was able to talk to people around me (as i was briefed about the swellings and other post surgery effects earlier , i wasn’t worried much about it ) , my sugar levels were monitored throughout the day and the measurements for the pressure garments was taken in few hours post surgery…Dr.Karthik ram and Dr.arvind visited me constantly to review about my pain and instructed the staff nurse to stay back and take care of me even though i had my personal attender…

Finally i should surely mentioned about the staffs that this hospital have one MR.Vinod ( a staff nurse) who was teaching me at his young age how to service a client without a small hesitation and never slept the whole night even though i was constantly nagging him because of pain and Ms.Lakshmi (staff nurse) who’s attitude cannot be matched with non other than a seasoned (professional Nurse) , and Waseem a front desk executive who even took the pain of booking a cab for us and send off till the car… (Blessed Owners and Damn good Staffs and the culture )…

I could conclude this review with the following things, why i chose chennai plastic surgery in the first point

1) More the surgery one who perform more the experience he will have (am sure Dr.karthik ram is doing atleast 3 surgeries a day so i was damn sure on his skills to give my most precious life in his hands..)

2) Why would i go back nonstop to this hospital - Chennai Plastic Surgery has an adept team and an astute services are guaranteed, the costing surely fits my pocket.

3) Why would someone like me take a pain of writing this long review about an hospital in the third day of their surgery - Because people like me who always prefer the best ,only look for it in an established brand but fail to recognise the upcoming one like Chennai Plastic Surgery…

Sub : Tummy Tuck Surgery Experience

I am Deepika, 32 yrs old, having 2 kids. I had hanging belly after 2 pregnancies.. i love to do workouts.. even after exercising of 2 yrs, i lost 17 kgs of weight but not belly fat(hanging belly).. due to this hanging belly, i had repeated skin infection under hanging belly.. i love to wear dresses, but due to hanging belly, i cant wear all dresses..

Normally my hubby won't praise jus like that, He itself told abt the service of nurses really gud, taking gud care of patients.. Even after surgery, during every consultation they are supporting directly and thru phone calls.. Really they are doing excellent job..

Results for Tummy tuck surgery is Superb, Now am free from infection which i had earlier, and most important now I can wear all type of dresses with confident.. Really happy for the results of Tummy tuck surgery..

Only discomfort I am facing is the Pressure Garment am wearing (for 45 days), (it's compulsory) for best results of skin tightening..

And i had swelling around tummy area after surgery (common one) , Dr.Karthik suggested Dr.Gowtham, (Naturopathy) for massage for reducing the swelling.. He is also very talented person and friendly.. Even he treated my husband's long term shoulder pain, many of my family members taking treatment from Dr.Goutham after my treatment satisfaction..
