Dr.Sumi's Dent Care, Madipakkam

Dentist C.Sumitha was very accommodating even at the last minute call. Recent visit was for Molar (Last big one) Tooth extraction which was crumbling due to decay, half of the crown already gone only part of the crown has the hold and that too can't grabbed tight. Couple of doctors from my native said tough case.

She assessed my case and considering my travel plans she had performed the procedure (withing 1 hour) with assessment 10min, break 20m, local sedation 5m, break 5m, extraction 15m, completion and post extraction care in 5mins.

Premise is also neat and hygienic with adequate amenities for X-Ray, Sanitizing the tools etc.

Charges were unbeatable compared to other doctors even in my town. (Kovilpattti - South TN)

This is my second visit to her. Previous one was Root Canal and Cap. in 3 sitting I guess, couldn't recollect exact flow but that was almost closer to American Dental standards which I got after Insurance coverage. (in US for 15times of the cost what she charged)

Wish she is located near to my town or at-least come as visiting Doctor to a dental clinic here.

She is my schoolmate and a good friend of mine. She is a person who always questions about things around us right from childhood. She is a socially responsible person, kind hearted and an expressive person.

I can see Dr. Sumi still reflecting the same character after so many years, when I approached her for tooth problem. She diagnosed my tooth problem correctly, explained me the cause of occurrence, where disease located, process of treatment,etc. in detail.

She also explained how many sittings for treatment, necessity for the appropriate time gap between each sitting.

She also gave appointment in advance, discussed for comfortable timing, and proceeded further in a very comfortable and a very friendly manner. She performed the treatment on time in the given appointment schedule.

Clinic was also maintained cleanly with all necessary equipments.

Dr.Sumitha handles her patients in quite a responsible way. She tells about the root cause of the problem and suggests various treatments whichever best suitable for ur dental issues. I had went for root canal treatment and followed by placing of crowns , it was a good choice overall. She handled it quite well. The clinic is also kept neat and tidy. I had a dental checkup for the first time and Dr. Sumitha meticulously explained me the nitty gritty’s of my dental issues and entire three day visit for dental filling, cleaning was scheduled as per my timings and convenience with one schedule even done at morning 8 am to accommodate my meetings later in the day. Overall I highly recommend everyone to have dental consultation done once with Dr. sumitha and consultation fees are also nominal. My visit was highly satisfactory and I’m sure my subsequent visits will also be the same.

I have underwent many treatments with Dr.Sumitha from 2014 onwards . she took time to explain each and every procedure of the treatment clearly, the pros and cons and made sure to provide best possible care to meet our needs. I have done root canal treatment for a tooth at my native. After 5 years it got infected and hurt terribly. Dr. Sumitha made me comfortable and re-root canal procedure was very well done.The crowns she did for me felt comfortable. My gratitude for Dr.Sumi goes beyond the stars. The doctor called me prior to the appointment to let me know it’s ideal that I eat. The extraction was quick and pain-free. After the extraction, she clearly explained what I was to eat and what oral care should be done for the next 48 hours. Also, she took the time to explain what the prescribed medication was and the best part- why it was prescribed in the first place- this is something I’ve not seen other dentists too. She was happy to have me call if have doubts. I’d be happy to recommend Dr Sumitha.

I recently got a root canal done by Dr. Sumitha I was very reluctant, anxious as my tooth was in a very bad way . She took me through the entire procedure in the first sitting. And in my next visit I had my RCT done. There was absolutely no pain during the root canal or afterwards. The next day I even got a call from her asking me how I was feeling. Dr. Sumitha is a friendly doctor who clarifies all doubts and is genuinely concerned about the patient.

It was for my father and since we was very old and could not walk, I had to first send her photos of my father's oral parts. She could have rejected us by seeing the photos as it was not completly dental issues, yet she gave an appointment and a special consideration to come to the clinic in odd timings (not the regular clinic timings) just to check my father. She also got a dental surgeon appointment so that she could have his opinion on the issue. She took complete care of my father during our visit and also adhered to the corona related guidelines. Her clinic and the equipments were well sanitised and she was are great help in treating my father to overcome the issue. Thanks you Dr. C. We had the most satisfying experience in Dr.Sumi's dent care for my daughter's root canal treatment who is 5 years old now. Dr. Sumitha is so kind and polite. She explained us the procedure clearly and with the help of pedodontist the procedure was done smoothly.. Initially I was scared how is my daughter going to co-operate and so many things were running in my mind.But, both the drs took utmost care and engaged the kid by asking her some questions while doing the entire procedure.. Even after the procedure, Dr.Sumitha followed up with us which was so satisfying. Thanks to Dr for that kind gesture.. We came to know about this clinic from my dear friend and now I will personally recommend this clinic to others for any dental issues..
