Vardan Hospital, Ratanada

I went to visit the doctor for a small problem, the doctor is good and explained the situation quite decently. Once the consultation was over the receptionist came in without knocking, I mean I am meeting a gynaecologist if I was being examined at that moment how would that work! Anyways he goes on to get medicines from the store inside the hospital, on his return with my husband the receptionist insists to the doctor that he has explained to my husband how and when to take the medicine. On hearing him the doctor refrains herself from telling me how to take the medicines. On my arrrival home my husband informs me he paid Rs. 350 for the medicines while the consultation costs Rs.200, what surprises me is that I got some antibiotics and a lot of paracetamol for 5 days three times a day. My condition did not require me to take paracetamol, it was just a way of making money plus I was given 625mg of tablets to have before meals I found that a little weird so I picked up the phone to my doctor in bombay who explained that antibiotics and paracetamol should not be had on an empty stomach. In all I am upset about my experience at this hospital who gave a receptionist the power to make medical decisions.
