I don't know where or how to start the review because to write it I have to remind myself of my dark phase which is scary! I was in depression and also had OCD for a very long time. How much ever I worked or how much ever I tried I never felt happiness. I never used to understand why. An incident had happened in my life and I had realised that I had changed after that. I didn't have to explain much. With just few words and by my behavior she diagnosed me.

(before going into more details, I would like to tell this to everyone. Psychiatristsare the ones that treat you by giving medications. Clinical psychologists and counselling psychologists are the ones that provide therapy)

So Dr. Meenakshi jain is a psychiatrist. But along with medication she gives therapy or shows you how you can watch/mend your mentality or way of thinking. Our mind in itself has a lot of capabilities. When your mind is clear it helps you console yourself or think the right way. After the course of medication and with minimal counseling I am back to normal. I feel things! I feel so good and what happened to me is priceless!!!!! I thank Dr. Meenakshi Jain for resurrecting my life at the age of 45. Since my childhood and teens, I had mood swings, eating problems, and depression. I am posting this review after taking 7 months of treatment for my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) which tormented me for 12 years before I finally decided to go to a psychiatrist. I think the problem that I faced was the denial by society and even my family members of my suffering. It just makes you helpless when the people who are supposed to support you, turn a blind eye on your suffering. I couldn't meet a mental health professional until I became financially independent.

Luckily, my job was at faridabd where I met Dr. Meenakshi jain. Frankly, I first decided to go to some one else. But somehow I felt that she was not able to understand my pain to the depth. Then after lots of hesitation I met Dr. Meenakshi just because one of my friends had been completely treated by her of similar problems. My first visit was uneventful. Just the usual history taking and giving meds. But from second consultation things started changing. I gradually understood the difference between being good and showing that you are good. Dr. Meenakshi jain is very humble . She directly gives you a task which looks quite simple. But as you keep doing the tasks, you start experiencing something that can be only named as magic. Doctor often says healing is actually a magic of nature. You just have to align yourself to it. And that's what happened with me. My OCD almost resolved completely. I think the biggest capability of Dr. Meenakshi jain has not been mentioned in any of the reviews so far. She can balance meds with psychotherpies very very effectively. The transition from meds to psychotherapy is completely smooth and seamless. Dr. Meenakshi has been called as a God by many patients. But I call her my teacher.
