Very disappointing experience – **** ************* *** inconsistent treatment guidance
I am sharing my experience because the communication and overall approach during my daughter's treatment were quite disappointing.
During my first visit with my daughter, I was trying to understand whether she was still experiencing pain so that I could provide the dentist with accurate information. While I was asking my daughter about her pain, the doctor interrupted and said that this could have been done at home and that there was no need to do it there. * ***** *** *** **** *** ************ ************* *********** I was simply trying to help provide the correct information about my child's condition.
I was also asked to remain outside while my daughter was being examined. I understand that a dentist may sometimes prefer to treat a child without a parent standing inside, and I have no issue with that itself. ******** *** ******* ************* **** ** ************** ********** ******** **** my previous experiences where the dentist explained the procedure and allowed me to understand what was being done.
There was also confusion regarding the treatment charges. The charges were discussed verbally with my father and brother as ₹5,000 for the treatment, ₹2,000 for filling and ₹3,500 for the cap/replacement tooth. They understood that the ₹2,000 filling charge would not be applicable. Since this was communicated verbally and there was no detailed written breakup, I cannot comment on whether there was a misunderstanding, but I believe such treatment charges should be clearly explained and documented to avoid confusion.
During today's visit, my father asked a completely reasonable question about what treatment had been done. ******* ** ********* ********* *** ******* ******** *** ***** *** ***** *** ***** **** *** **** ***** *** *********** * *********** **** **** **** *** *** ** *********** *** ** ******* ** * ************* ****** ****** ***** * ******* ********** The doctor subsequently explained the treatment, *** *** *********** ***** **** ************* ***********
Today's treatment also felt rushed because another patient was waiting and the doctor appeared to be hurrying to attend to the next patient. Because of this, it did not feel comfortable to ask further questions about the previous treatment or the next steps.
Most importantly, I received inconsistent guidance about the next stage of treatment. During the earlier visit, I was told to allow the current treatment to settle and that the decision regarding the cap could be made after around three months. During today's visit, I was instead told that the capping treatment should be done as soon as possible. This change in advice ******* * ***** *********** created further confusion.
I am not writing this review because I expect special treatment or because of the fees. My main concern is communication, clarity and confidence in the treatment plan, especially when it concerns a child.
For a child's dental treatment, parents should feel comfortable asking questions and should receive a clear explanation of what has been done, what is being recommended next, why it is required, and what the associated charges are.
Unfortunately, after these experiences, I do not feel comfortable continuing my daughter's further treatment here. I hope the clinic takes this feedback constructively and works on clearer communication, consistent treatment guidance and a more respectful approach toward parents and family members.
