What is this test?
Leukocytes are immune cells responsible for recognizing and eliminating invading pathogens. The present study investigated the sEVs produced by the different subpopulations of mononuclear cells found in peripheral blood and compared the vesicular phenotype to the cellular phenotype. Leukocytes are immune cells responsible for recognizing and eliminating invading pathogens. Leukocytes can be subdivided based on morphological characteristics upon staining into polymorphonuclear cells (the granulocytes) and mononuclear cells (the lymphocytes and the monocytes).
