This test helps to find whether an individual is allergic to tea or not. In this test, a solution containing allergen tea is applied to the skin. Then the applied area of the skin is pricked with a lancet needle.

What is a Tea?

Tea plant belongs to the Theaceae family and can grow up to 10 meters in height. Tea is produced from the leaves of the tea plant. There a wide variety of tea plants in different environments. There are mainly 3 different types of tea and they are black tea, green tea, and Oolong tea. Flavonols and catechins are found in the tea and are responsible for the taste of a tea.
