What is this test?

Mutton is regarded as a weak allergen and preparations of lamb meat have been suggested as an alternative to hydrolyzed cow's milk formulas. Meat from sheep contains some of the same allergens as beef, so individuals with an allergy to mutton may be sensitized to beef as well. Traditional allergy tests utilize the Skin Prick method (also known as a Puncture or Scratch test) to determine whether an allergic reaction will occur by inserting possible triggers into your skin using a needle prick. If you are allergic to the substance, you are forced to suffer through your body's reaction to the allergen. If you have a stuffy or runny nose or you want to vomit or a rash develops on your skin on eating mutton, then you are allergic to this food. If a body is allergic to a food, it considers it as an enemy. At times the allergic reaction can be severe and trigger anaphylaxis reaction, which is life-threatening and should be treated immediately. Not only mutton, but beef, goat, pork, seal and even whale meat can cause allergies. Though it's hard to say how many are suffering from mutton/meat allergy, still it is a rare case. The cause for mutton allergy is the Lone Star tick. A simple bite is all you need and, if infected meat is consumed, one bite will cause you to suffer from meat allergy.
