What is this test?

Mutton is regarded as a weak allergen and preparations of lamb meat have been suggested as an alternative to hydrolyzed cow's milk formulas. Meat from sheep contains some of the same allergens as beef, so individuals with an allergy to mutton may be sensitized to beef as well. Traditional allergy tests utilize the Skin Prick method (also known as a Puncture or Scratch test) to determine whether an allergic reaction will occur by inserting possible triggers into your skin using a needle prick. If you are allergic to the substance, you are forced to suffer through your body's reaction to the allergen. Lamb is the meat of a domestic sheep. Some people complain of having allergy with this meat. It happens when the immune system mistakenly identifies the nutrients in the meat as threat to the body. Some of the top and primary Lamb allergy symptoms are as mentioned below: Cough, Runny nose, Tongue swelling, Nausea, Vomiting, Sinusitis, Hives, Hoarseness, Itching, Diarrhea, Headache, Breathing problems, Tingling mouth, Sinus pain, Sneezing, Lip swelling, Asthma, Wheezing, Fatigue, Constipation, Eczema, Abdominal pain, Fatigue, Depression, Insomnia, Joint pain, Swallowing problems, Frequent infections. Blood tests like RAST and skin patchy test are available which can find out the allergen and also the extent to which the allergy spread in the body. It is a food allergy. Any allergy in this category has no cure yet. It is a condition which persists for the entire life. Treatment is aimed at keeping the signs of the allergy under check. The severity depends on the state of the immune system of the patient. Mild forms can be addressed by avoiding the food completely. Moderate severity signs can be dealt with antihistamine drugs, adrenaline injections and bronchodilators for people having complaints of asthma in addition to this allergy. Severe form of this allergy is rare and involves a condition called anaphylaxis. The allergy reaction quickly spreads to all the parts of the body. It is a medical emergency requiring immediate intervention of the doctor on hospitalization of the patient.
