I will definitely rate Dr. Chirag Tandon as probably the best Doctor in Greater Noida and one of the best in Delhi/NCR.. My family has been consulting him for the last 6-7 years from the time he was working at Kailash Hospital... He genuinely cares about his patients.. My mother underwent 2 knee replacement surgeries within a span of 2 months at Yatharth... She was a CGHS empanelled patient.. I realized that hospitals tend to discharge CGHS empanelled patients as soon as possible irrespective of whether the patient is in a position to be discharged or not. My mother is also a heart patient and just looking at her condition, we knew she is not in a position to be discharged when the 1st surgery was performed.. She was not able to even get up, forget about going to the toilet or doing anything else but the Doctor who operated on her wasn't willing to listen.. He blamed us for trying to take unnecessary advantage of being a CGHS beneficiary.. I told him only a dimwit would like to spend nights in a hospital as a patient or as an attendent and that my mother is not in a position to even get up.. That she was running fever just a day before and how can the hospital even think of discharging her.. What if something happens to her at home?. Luckily for us, Dr. Chirag Tandon was the visiting physician and one day before she was due to be discharged, he came to check on her and looking at her condition was surprised to know that she was due to being discharged the next day... He immediately got my mother's case transferred from the surgeon doctor and took her under his care.. By the time she was discharged 3-4 days later, she had stabilized, was able to get up with support.. Dr. Tandon came as an angel for us... In the 2nd surgery, the case had complicated even further and mother had to remain in the ICU for 3-4 days.. The ICU staff were worried about my mother's condition.. Again Dr. Tandon was like an angel for us... Later I got to know from the hospital people that even though my mother's matter had become a loss making case for the hospital, Dr. Tandon made sure that no stone was left unturned in her treatment.. When I went to the Hospital's CGHS office for her discharge, everyone there knew about my mother... They said Dr. Tandon made sure everyone knew about your mother and that he was very explicit about my mother getting the best treatment and nothing should be left out on account of it being a CGHS billing... The accounts people told me that the hospital gets only one payment for a specific code related to knee replacement and CGHS doesn't pay extra if patient is in the ICU or stays for additional days... So my thanks to Yatharth Hospital for making sure that my mother is given the best possible treatment and most of all to Dr. Chirag Tandon for making it happen... I will recommend him to anyone reading this... I will even recommend him to those from outside Greater Noida who might be looking for a 2nd opinion.. He is very friendly and very nice to speak to.. One can easily make out in the 1st meeting itself that he genuinely cares about his patients...
My experience with Dr. Chirag Tandon was very good. He explained everything properly, and the clinic visit was smooth with helpful staff. I would definitely recommend him to others.
The doctor explained everything properly and my overall experience was good. However, the wait time was quite long as the doctor was late, but the staff was polite. I would still rate the experience 4 out of 5.
