After graduating in medicine in 1989 from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Nagpur, Dr Rajesh Swarnakar completed a postgraduate diploma in chest diseases from Government Medical College, Nagpur in the year 1991. He has passed the National Board Examination (DNB) in respiratory conditions from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi in 1996. He has been awarded a fellowship by American College of Chest Physician, FCCP (USA). He has worked as a consultant chest physician in WCL. Central Hospital, Sail’s Bhilai Steel Plant Hospital, Meenakshi Mission Hospital in Madurai and Suretech Apollo Hospital, Nagpur. One of the pioneers of non-invasive mechanical ventilation & SleepMedicine in Nagpur, he is doing polysomnography (sleep study) routinely. A trained bronchoscopist and interventional pulmonologist, he also has a particular interest in managing asthma, COPD & pulmonary rehabilitation along with management of complicated empyemas with thoracoscopy. He has installed for the first time in central India exhaled nitric oxide measurement feno lab from Aerocrine Sweden to assess and monitor airway inflammation in bronchial asthma directly.Dr Rajesh Swarnakar is Hon Secretary of Indian Chest Society. Indian chest society is an apex body of association of chest physician in India and acts as the advocacy group to policies regarding diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases. Dr Swarnakar is the chest physician from Vidarbha to be elected to this coveted body. He has represented as the member of national delegation at European Respiratory Society meeting held in Vienna, Austria, September 2012.He has been recognized as university and national board guide for the postgraduate degree in respiratory medicine, DNB. Dr. Rajesh was really friendly, he questioned us for every minor details regarding symptoms and all past medical conditions. Very satisfying experience
I had consulted many Pulmonologist before for a rare chest problem of mine. The doctor’s assistant Dr Shruti went patiently went through all my papers and noted all important points , ordered some tests which were not done . Finally Dr Swarnakar saw me with all my reports . Took time to answer my queries . Hope I get relief . Only word of caution is that this centre is a busy one hence appointment is must and expect to spend a day in test and final prescription by Dr Swarnakar if you are showing for first time .

We visited Dr. Rajesh Swarnkar in Get Well Hospital for my father's treatment (Mr. Sunil Kumar Kashiv, Jabalpur). We are fully satisfied with the treatment and next visit scheduled next month for regular checkup.
Dr. Deepak Muthreja treated first and recommended few neccessary tests and after getting those reports, Dr. Rajesh Swarnkar treated him.
1) They never seems to be in hurry and give us sufficient time to speak and they listen carefully.
2) Dr. Deepak tolds us to do certain test (the best part, they always tell us what is the purpose of each test).
3) It took us 6 pm to get all the test reports.
4) Dr. Rajesh checked all the reports, told us the disease, medicines and neccessary treatment.
Fully satisfied with the treatment, I thank Dr. Deepak Muthreja and Dr. Rajesh Sawarnkar.

It is said that if you have faith in your doctor, then he can cure all the ailments successfully. Dr Swarnkar struck the chord of faith in the first meeting itself. He was patient and gave ample of time discussing the medical issue. One could instantly gauge his sound medical knowledge and being treated under his watchful eyes was a satisfying experience.
The methodical manner of treatment, kindness and friendly approach is praiseworthy. Nagpurians are indeed fortunate to have such medical experts.

my mother is suffering from Asthma from long i have admitted my mother few week later doctor give me prescription and told to come after 1 week after 1 week i visited hospitals for check up as mentioned in prescription but they refuse to check they wanted me to take a appointment from practo app where appointment date was showing too long date and 2ndly they are asking to take physical appointment as early at 5am i stay in 120 km away from hospital then how it possible to come and take appointment early.whole staff is rude, ** ****** ** **** they have no sentiments for patients coming from long routes for check upfinal feedback they don't check my mother

Treatment is nice but no preferences for regular patient who visited Nagpur from far places. Such patients were directly denied by staff member for booking an appointment if they become late by half an hour to reach the hospital which creates lots of inconvenience. Need support for such patients .
Also, not getting any appointment during day time even appointment confirmed from Practo 's end on same day.
We need support and coordination for such patients and expecting that management team review our above feedback and feel patient much better who comes from.other states.

Dr Rajesh a one of the finest Pulmonologist I have come across. Consulted him for my sister’s breathing and sleep disorder problem.

I was referred to the doctor for doing Bronchoscope for which I was asked to come empty stomach.I was taken to a room which had big TV screens and was given mist of some medicine which I was told will numb my organs so that I do not feel the tube going inside.It really worked and the procedure got finished in 5 minutes and I was given printed report with coloured photograph and also a Video CD of the procedure to show it to my doctor who had referred me to Dr Swarnakar.Overall nice experience but report of sample analysed came after 5 days.I came to know later that it was for cancer detection which came negative so I was relieved.Better take prior appointment as he is a very busy doctor but doesn't rushes you and once inside the chamber examines you thoroughly .
