Allergic Reaction

Drug-resistance

Usage of Zycillin 500 MG Injection without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.

Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhea

Do not take if you experience severe diarrhea after receiving Zycillin 500 MG Injection. This is because the antibiotic therapy will cause an imbalance in the normal microbial flora in the large intestine, which promotes the growth of bacteria called clostridium difficile.

Mononucleosis

Zycillin 500 MG Injection is likely to cause rashes and bumps on the skin if the patient is suffering from Mononucleosis. Usage of Zycillin 500 MG Injection is not recommended in such cases.

Missed Dose

The missed dose should be taken as soon possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it's already time for your next scheduled dose.

Impaired kidney function

The blood concentration of intravenous Zycillin 500 MG Injection may increase in patients suffering from impaired kidney functioning. Suitable dose adjustments are to be made based on the severity of kidney function. Frequent monitoring of kidney function tests is necessary.

Colitis

Zycillin 500 MG Injection should be discontinued if severe diarrhea occurs. Patients having a history of Colitis should be monitored closely.
Food interactions
The absorption of Zycillin 500 MG Injection may decrease in the presence of food. For proper absorption of the medicine, it should be taken at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
