Description
Zovia 75 MG Tablet is a painkiller medicine that contains Tapentadol. It is used to relieve moderate to severe pain. Zovia 75 MG Tablet is used in adults to treat conditions like headache, muscular pain, menstrual pain, joint pain, backache, toothache and throat pain. This medicine works by altering the way the brain and nerves respond to pain. Your doctor may prescribe Zovia 75 MG Tablet alone or in combination with other medications to relieve pain. Zovia 75 MG Tablet shows some common side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, dizziness and diarrhoea. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Contact your doctor if any side effect persists for a long time. Zovia 75 MG Tablet can be taken with or without food. You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. For the ease of remembering, take it at the same time every day. Zovia 75 MG Tablet has to be taken with caution if you have any history of liver or kidney problems. If you are a pregnant or breastfeeding woman, do not take this medicine without consulting your doctor. Zovia 75 MG Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. Zovia 75 MG Tablet should not be taken in more than the prescribed dose, as it has a high potential for addiction and abuse even at recommended dosages, especially with prolonged use. Avoid driving vehicles or consuming alcohol during the treatment, as this medicine can make you drowsy.

Allergy

Avoid taking Zovia 75 MG Tablet if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have a history of allergy to Zovia 75 MG Tablet. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.

Severe asthma and breathing problems

Do not take Zovia 75 MG Tablet if you have any respiratory conditions such as asthma and other breathing problems, as it may increase the airway resistance resulting in worsening of your health condition.

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors

MAOI (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) are medicines used as anti-depressants. The use of these medicines along with Zovia 75 MG Tablet may increase the risk of serious side effects. Hence, avoid taking these medicines together. Inform your doctor if you are taking any anti-depressants. A time gap of at least 14 days should be maintained between stopping therapy with MAOIs and starting therapy with Zovia 75 MG Tablet.

Gastrointestinal obstruction

Gastrointestinal obstruction is a condition in which digested material is prevented from passing normally through the bowel. Avoid taking Zovia 75 MG Tablet if you have gastrointestinal obstruction like paralytic ileus as it may cause serious side effects and increase the risk of worsening your health condition

Severe liver disease

Zovia 75 MG Tablet is not recommended if you have severe liver problems. High doses or prolonged use of this medicine can affect your liver function. Thus, it may worsen your condition.

Zovia 75 MG Tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy due to the risk of serious side effects.

Breast-feeding

Drug dependence and abuse

Hypotension

The use of Zovia 75 MG Tablet may cause a sudden drop in your blood pressure, especially while getting up from a sitting or a lying position. Therefore, you are advised to get up slowly from a sitting or a lying position to avoid fainting, dizziness, and falling.

Driving or operating machines

Zovia 75 MG Tablet may cause dizziness or drowsiness and hence do not perform activities that require mental focus and attention such as driving vehicles or operating machines.

Withdrawal symptoms

Sudden discontinuation of Zovia 75 MG Tablet may cause withdrawal symptoms like tremors, nausea and vomiting, chills and fever, diarrhoea, etc. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Use in children

Zovia 75 MG Tablet use should be avoided in children below 18 years of age due to the lack of safety and efficacy data of this medicine.

Elderly population

Zovia 75 MG Tablet should be administered with caution in elderly people since the risk of severe side effects is significantly high. Suitable adjustments in dose and safety monitoring may be required in such people.

Infectious diarrhea

Zovia 75 MG Tablet should be used with extreme caution if you have infectious diarrhoea since it may worsen your condition. Close monitoring, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on your clinical condition.

Missed Dose

In case the scheduled dose of Zovia 75 MG Tablet is forgotten, take it as soon as you remember. But if the delay is more than 12 hours then skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the usual time. Do not double the dose to compensate for the missed one.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose. Seek emergency medical treatment in case you suspect an overdose of Zovia 75 MG Tablet.
