Description
Valp 250 MG Tablet ER is a prescription medicine that contains Divalproex. It is used in the treatment of certain types of seizures (a sudden, uncontrolled electrical disturbance in the brain causing abnormal behaviour and loss of consciousness). It is also used for the treatment of mania (extreme high energy or mood) or mixed episodes in bipolar disorder (a mental condition that causes intense mood swings from mania to depression) and to prevent migraine headaches. Valp 250 MG Tablet ER works by decreasing the abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Valp 250 MG Tablet ER may cause side effects like fatigue, loss of coordination, dry mouth, nausea, diarrhoea, etc. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or become severe. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines as this medicine can cause dizziness or drowsiness, and can affect your ability to focus. Valp 250 MG Tablet ER may also cause mood and behavioural changes. If you experience mood changes or suicidal thoughts, contact your doctor immediately. Valp 250 MG Tablet ER may be taken with or without food as prescribed by your doctor. The dose and duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor based on your condition. Take this medicine at the same time every day for the ease of remembering. Also, continue taking Valp 250 MG Tablet ER for the prescribed duration as abrupt discontinuation may cause increased seizure frequency. Valp 250 MG Tablet ER is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it or have liver problems. Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems or any other medical conditions before taking this medicine. Also, inform your doctor about all your ongoing medications, as certain medications may interact with Valp 250 MG Tablet ER and cause undesired effects. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding.

Allergy

Active liver disease

Driving and operating machines

Skin reactions

Missed Dose
