Sucralcoat 1000 MG/5ML Syrup is an antiulcer agent which is used to treat ulcers in the intestine. It should be taken at least 1 hour before food. It may delay the absorption of many medicines. The oral suspension form may increase the blood glucose levels in diabetic patients.

The suspension form of this medicine may increase the blood glucose levels due to the presence of carbohydrates. Close monitoring of blood glucose levels is necessary.

Impaired kidney function

This medicine may cause accumulation of aluminum in the body in patients with the kidney impairment. Inform the doctor if you have a history of kidney disease. Monitoring the signs and symptoms of aluminum toxicity like aluminum osteodystrophy, osteomalacia, encephalopathy is necessary.

This medicine is not recommended for the children.
