Description
Sodakindle DS Tablet is used as an antacid that helps in neutralizing stomach acid during indigestion and heartburn. It works by increasing the pH of your blood and urine, which corrects metabolic acidosis (high acid levels in your body). Sodakindle DS Tablet is available on prescription in oral, injection and ear drop forms. The tablet form is used as an antacid which helps in neutralizing stomach acid during indigestion and heartburn. Injection form is used in the treatment of metabolic acidosis resulting from many clinical conditions. The ear drop form is used to soften the dry and hardened ear wax. Sodakindle DS Tablet may cause some side effects like dry mouth, increased thirst; or urinating more than usual. Inform your doctor if these side effects persist for a long time. Sodakindle DS Tablet is not recommended in children below 12 years of age. Inform your doctor if you have any stomach, kidney or liver troubles before taking this medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.

Allergy

Aldosteronism

Aldosteronism (a condition caused due to overproduction of a hormone, Aldosterone). Sodakindle DS Tablet is not recommended if you have Aldosteronism as it may cause major side effects.

General warnings

Sodium and water retention

Sodakindle DS Tablet can cause sodium and water retention, resulting in hypernatremia (high level of sodium in your blood), hypokalemia (low blood potassium levels), and worsening of congestive heart failure/heart attack. Hence, take this medicine with caution if you have any preexisting conditions.

Kidney impairment

Sodakindle DS Tablet should be used with caution if you have kidney problems. Long term use of this medicine can lead to progressive kidney damage.

Liver impairment

Sodakindle DS Tablet should be used with caution if you have liver problems as this medicine may damage your liver further leading to side effects.

Missed Dose

Oral Form: If you have missed taking Sodakindle DS Tablet at a scheduled time, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for your next dose, skip the dose. Avoid taking two doses together at once to make up for the missed one. Parenteral Form: Since Sodakindle DS Tablet is usually administered by a qualified healthcare professional in the clinical/hospital setting, the likelihood of a missed dose is very low. Ear drops: If you have forgotten to take this medicine at a scheduled time, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for your next dose, skip the dose. How it works
Sodakindle DS Tablet contain Sodium Bicarbonate which is an antacid. This medicine helps in neutralizing stomach acid during indigestion and heartburn. It acts as a buffer against an excess acidic condition of your body by raising blood pH. It increases the urinary pH by increasing the excretion of free bicarbonate ions in your urine. The ear drop works by softening the hardened and dried ear wax. This makes wax removal easier and less painful
