Description
Siropan 1 mg Tablet is an immunosuppressant medicine used along with other medicines to prevent the body from rejecting a kidney transplant. This medicine is not recommended for use in children less than 13 years of age.

General warnings

Use in pediatrics

This medicine is not recommended for use in children less than 13 years of age.

Blood pressure

This medicine may cause an increase in blood pressure. Close monitoring of blood pressure is necessary during treatment with this medicine.

Use of contraception

Women of childbearing age are advised to use effective contraception prior to, during, and for 12 weeks following treatment with this medicine to avoid pregnancy. This medicine may cause serious side effects in the fetus.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Siropan 1 mg Tablet, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact a doctor immediately in case of an overdose.

Infections

Caution is advised while using this medicine in patients who are at risk of chronic or severe infections. Patients receiving this medicine should be monitored closely for any signs of infection. It is advised to interrupt the therapy if there are any signs of a new infection and take appropriate corrective measures.

Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with active or a previous history of Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML). In patients at risk of developing this condition, this medicine should be used with extreme caution and the patient should be monitored closely for any signs of PML. It is advised to interrupt therapy if any signs of PML appear and take appropriate corrective measures.

Angioedema

Siropan 1 mg Tablet should be used with extreme caution in patients who are at increased risk of angioedema. Close monitoring of such patients for any signs of angioedema is recommended.

Hyperlipidemia

Caution is advised while using this medicine in patients with hyperlipidemia since this medicine may further increase the cholesterol and triglycerides levels. Close monitoring of cholesterol levels is necessary for such patients.

Impaired liver function

Caution is advised while using this medicine in patients with impaired liver function due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Appropriate dose adjustments should be made based on the severity of the liver impairment. Close monitoring of liver function is necessary for such patients.

Lung dysfunction

Caution is advised while using this medicine in patients with lung diseases due to the increased risk of severe and life-threatening side effects. Close monitoring of pulmonary symptoms and lung function is necessary for such patients. It is advised to interrupt therapy if any signs of adverse lung effects occur and take appropriate corrective measures.

Renal Dysfunction

Caution is advised while using this medicine along with cyclosporine due to the increased risk of severe kidney problems. Close monitoring of kidney function is recommended during treatment with these medicines. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition of the patient.
Food interactions
Consumption of grapefruit or grapefruit juice is not recommended during treatment with this medicine due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects.
