Description
Oflofine 0.3% Eye Drops is an antibiotic medicine that contains ofloxacin as an ingredient. It is used to treat eye infections. It is used to treat infection of the cornea (a transparent layer that covers the front part of the eye) and conjunctivitis or pink eye caused by bacteria. This medicine is effective against a large number of bacteria. It kills or stops the growth and multiplication of bacteria that cause infection. Oflofine 0.3% Eye Drops may cause side effects like irritation, redness, itching of eyes, watery eyes, etc. These side effects are temporary and resolve within a few days after the treatment. Oflofine 0.3% Eye Drops may cause a visual disturbance. Avoid driving a vehicle after administration. Consult your doctor if these side effects get worsen. Avoid using Oflofine 0.3% Eye Drops if you are allergic to it. Oflofine 0.3% Eye Drops is a prescription medicine. Wash your hands properly before administering Oflofine 0.3% Eye Drops. Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Hold the dropper close to the eye and squeeze the dropper so that a drop falls in the pocket. Close your eyes for 2 to 3 minutes and repeat the same for the next dose. Oflofine 0.3% Eye Drops is not recommended for use in children below 1 year of age. Do not use contact lens during the treatment as they can increase the infection severity. Oflofine 0.3% Eye Drops is for ophthalmic use only. Avoid contact with ears, nose and mouth.

General warnings

Antibiotic resistance

Finish your entire course of treatment with Oflofine 0.3% Eye Drops, even if the condition gets better after taking a few doses, to avoid antibiotic resistance (the bacteria may become resistant to antibiotics).

Driving or operating machinery

Oflofine 0.3% Eye Drops may cause short term blurring of vision, burning sensation or discomfort in the eyes when it is used. You should be cautious about these symptoms before driving a vehicle or operating a machine.

Contact lens

Do not wear contact lenses when your eyes are infected.

Use in children

Oflofine 0.3% Eye Drops is not recommended for use in children less than 1 year of age because no data is available regarding its safety and efficacy in this age group.

Missed Dose

Do not skip any dose of Oflofine 0.3% Eye Drops. If you forget to administer a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If your next dose time is near, skip the missed dose and take your next scheduled dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
