Description - Using alcohol while taking Metfirst Xl 25 MG Tablet XL may cause an additional lowering of the blood pressure. This may result in some very severe complication over time.
Instructions - Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with this medicine due to the increased risk of side effects such as dizziness, lightheadedness, and fainting. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you consume alcohol during treatment with this medicine.
Interaction with Medicine
Metfirst Xl 25 MG Tablet XL should not be used in patients with a history of bronchial asthma or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Report the incidence of Asthma to the doctor so that an appropriate alternative can be prescribed by the doctor.
Metfirst Xl 25 MG Tablet XL should not be used in patients having a heart block greater than first degree. However, it can be used in this case if a pacemaker is present to correct the disorder.
Metfirst Xl 25 MG Tablet XL should be administered with caution in patients with diabetes or a condition where blood sugar level is likely to get low. It is advised to consult with a doctor if any symptom indicating a low blood sugar level is suspected while using this medicine.
Metfirst Xl 25 MG Tablet XL should be administered with caution in patients with impaired hepatic function. Suitable dose adjustment and safety monitoring are advised in such cases.
Metfirst Xl 25 MG Tablet XL should be administered with caution in a patient suffering from Glaucoma. A change in the dose of current Glaucoma medicine may be required. In some cases, your doctor may advise the use of another medicine in place of a beta blocker.
High cholesterol and fatmoderate
Metfirst Xl 25 MG Tablet XL should be administered with caution in a patient having high levels of cholesterol and fats in their body. Suitable dose adjustment and safety monitoring may be required in such cases.
