Description
Libadex 200 MG Capsule is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs, nose, throat, skin, urinary tract, etc. This medicine works by killing the bacteria, thereby preventing the further spread of infection. Libadex 200 MG Capsule is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Libadex 200 MG Capsule shows side effects like diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects remain for a longer period or become severe. Libadex 200 MG Capsule can be taken with food for better absorption. For the ease of remembering, take it at the same time every day. Ensure that your complete the course of treatment for better results and to prevent re-infection. Avoid taking Libadex 200 MG Capsule without consulting your doctor. Unnecessary use of this medicine may cause the bacteria to become resistant to antibiotics. Libadex 200 MG Capsule is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems. Libadex 200 MG Capsule is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before taking Libadex 200 MG Capsule.

General warnings

Seizures

A seizure is abnormal electrical activity in the brain that may lead to jerky movements. Libadex 200 MG Capsuleshould be used with caution if you have seizures as it may further trigger seizures.

Antibiotic resistance

Antibiotic resistance occurs when bacteria develop the ability to defeat the medicine that was intended to kill them. Hence, complete the entire course of treatment with Libadex 200 MG Capsule even if you feel better after a few doses to avoid antibiotic resistance.

Driving or operating machines

Libadex 200 MG Capsule may cause dizziness. Hence, avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if your feel dizzy.

Diarrhoea

Libadex 200 MG Capsule can cause diarrhoea as this medicine may also kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine. Inform your doctor if you experience severe diarrhoea while taking this medicine.

Antacids

If you are taking an antacid containing aluminium and magnesium salts for indigestion, they can delay the effects of Libadex 200 MG Capsule. Hence, take this medicine at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after taking antacids.

Missed Dose

Try not to skip a dose of Libadex 200 MG Capsule. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to compensate for the missed dose.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose of Libadex 200 MG Capsule. Seek emergency medical attention in case of an overdose of this medicine.

Libadex 200 MG Capsule can kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and leads to diarrhoea. Use Libadex 200 MG Capsule with caution if you have gastrointestinal problems, particularly colitis (swelling of the inner lining of the large intestine), as it may worsen your condition.

Impaired kidney function

Libadex 200 MG Capsule is filtered by the kidney and excreted through urine. A damaged kidney can lead to its accumulation and toxicity. Hence, maintain caution while taking Libadex 200 MG Capsule as it can increase the risk of kidney damage especially if you have pre-existing kidney problems.

Impaired liver function
