Description

Itorax 50 MG Tablet is an effectively increases movement of food and facilitates emptying of the stomach. It is used for the treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, Functional Dyspepsia, and other associated motility disorders.

Uses of Itorax 50 MG Tablet

  • Non-ulcer dyspepsia

    Itorax 50 MG Tablet is used for the treatment of non-ulcer or functional dyspepsia. Symptoms may include fullness, discomfort and sometimes pain of the stomach.
  • Gastroparesis

    Itorax 50 MG Tablet is used for the treatment of condition where movement of food from the stomach is very slow resulting in delayed emptying.
  • Nausea and vomiting

    Itorax 50 MG Tablet is also sometimes used for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting. This may be due to chemotherapy or a recent surgery.

Contraindications of Itorax 50 MG Tablet

  • Allergy

    This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of allergy to Itopride or any other ingredient present along with it.
  • Gastrointestinal haemorrhage

    This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having internal bleeding of the stomach and intestine. This may be attributed to various reasons including a ruptured bowel (Gastrointestinal Perforation).
  • Mechanical bowel obstruction

    This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having a blockage in the intestine.
  • Parkinson's disease

    This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having dopamine related disorders like Parkinson's disease.

Dosage

  • Missed Dose

    Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, then the missed dose can be skipped.
  • Overdose

    The likelihood of an overdose is very less. However, contact your doctor if an overdose is suspected.
