General warnings

Mazzotti reaction

Patients being treated with Imectin 3 MG Tablet for onchocerciasis may experience mazzotti reaction which are cutaneous and systemic adverse effect. These patients should be monitored closely. Supportive care should be initiated based on the severity.

Pretreatment assessment for Loa loa infection

Patients with significant exposure to endemic areas and being treated with Imectin 3 MG Tablet for onchocerciasis may have an increase in the risk of fatal encephalopathy. The symptoms include neck pain, red eye, urinary and fecal incontinence, mental status changes, seizures, or coma. Therefore, pretreatment assessment for loiasis is necessary.

Pediatric use

This medicine is not recommended for children with body weight less than 15 kg.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
