Description
Fycompa 4 mg Tablet is an antiepileptic medication. It is used in the treatment of seizures (a sudden, uncontrolled electrical disturbance in the brain causing fits). This medicine works by decreasing abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Fycompa 4 mg Tablet may cause common side effects such as dizziness, sleepiness, headache, weight gain, nausea, vomiting, tiredness, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen while taking the medication. Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine as it may increase the risk of dizziness and sleepiness. Fycompa 4 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. It is usually taken once a day at bedtime. Take it at around the same time every day for ease of remembering. Do not skip doses or discontinue the treatment suddenly as it may worsen your condition. Your doctor may suggest a gradual dose reduction over a period. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Skip the dose if it is near to the next scheduled dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one. Fycompa 4 mg Tablet is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. This medicine should be used with caution as it may cause psychiatric problems such as aggression (forceful and violent behaviour toward another person), irritability, anxiety, hallucination, anger, etc. Inform your doctor if you experience any changes in mood or behaviour changes, personality changes, suicidal thoughts, or thoughts about hurting others. Fycompa 4 mg Tablet is not recommended for use in children under four years of age for the treatment of partial-onset seizures and children under 12 years of age for the treatment of primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures. During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking this medication.

Paediatrics
