Description
Eglucent Mix 25 Kwikpen is a combination of fast-acting and intermediate-acting analogs of insulin (a natural substance produced by the pancreas which helps in utilizing sugar for energy production). This medicine is used in the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus (high blood sugar levels). It helps in the utilisation of sugar for energy and also reduces the production of sugar by the liver, thus helping to control your blood sugar levels. Eglucent Mix 25 Kwikpen has some side effects like weight gain, constipation, redness/swelling/itching at the site of injection, etc. It may result in low blood sugar levels and you may feel hungry, irritable, dizzy, anxious, or shaky. It is always recommended to eat or drink a fast-acting source of sugar (fruit juice, candy, raisins, etc.) to quickly treat these symptoms. However, consult your doctor if these symptoms bother you for a longer time or worsen. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it. Eglucent Mix 25 Kwikpen should be administered as instructed by your doctor. Your doctor or nurse will demonstrate the safe and proper method to administer the medicine. It is usually administered 15 minutes before a meal or immediately after a meal. Avoid the discontinuation of treatment without consulting your doctor, as it may cause an increase in blood sugar levels and lead to further complications. Eglucent Mix 25 Kwikpen may not be suitable for all. Inform your doctor if you have a low blood potassium level, or kidney or liver problems. Also, inform your doctor about all your ongoing medications. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using this medicine.
