Description
Distocide 600 mg Tablet is an anti-worm medication. It is used in the treatment of worm infections such as Schistosoma infection (worms that live in the blood) and liver fluke (worms that live in the liver). This medicine works by paralyzing the worms' muscles and kills them. Distocide 600 mg Tablet shows common side effects like stomach pain, vomiting, headache, dizziness, tiredness, loss of appetite, etc. These side effects normally subside by themselves but consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. Avoid driving and operating heavy machines while taking this medicine as it causes dizziness. Distocide 600 mg Tablet can be taken with a meal or as instructed by your doctor. The dosage and duration of this medication will be decided by your doctor. Complete course of treatment, as prescribed. If the symptoms continue to bother you, consult your doctor. In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention. Distocide 600 mg Tablet should not be used if you are allergic to it or if you have ocular cysticercosis (tapeworm forming cysts in the eyes). Use this medicine with caution if you have a history of seizures or heart, kidney, or liver diseases. Distocide 600 mg Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 4 years of age as the safety and efficacy data is not established. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. Avoid breastfeeding your baby for 3 days after taking Distocide 600 mg Tablet.

Kidney Disease

Distocide 600 mg Tablet is mainly excreted through your kidneys. There might be a delay in the excretion of this medicine if you have any medical condition that damage your kidneys. However, the incidence of kidney toxicity is not known. Use this tablet with caution if you have kidney problems.
