Description
Diamicron 60 MG Tablet XR is an anti-diabetic medicine used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (a condition with high blood sugar levels) in adults. It works by increasing insulin release and improving your body's response to insulin (a hormone that regulates sugar levels in your blood). Diamicron 60 MG Tablet XR may result in low blood sugar levels and you may feel hungry, irritable, confused, or anxious. It is always recommended to eat or drink a fast-acting source of sugar (fruit juice, candy, raisins, etc.) to quickly treat these symptoms. Other common side effects include nausea/vomiting, diarrhoea/constipation, indigestion, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Diamicron 60 MG Tablet XR should be taken exactly as directed by your doctor. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of this medicine in your body. Do not skip a dose or discontinue the treatment as it may cause an increase in your blood sugar levels. Diamicron 60 MG Tablet XR is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have pre-existing kidney or liver problems before beginning treatment with this medicine. Diamicron 60 MG Tablet XR is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
