Description
Combimist Respules is a combination medicine which is used to relieve symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, breathing difficulties, coughing, etc. caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 12 years of age.

General warnings

Driving vehicles and operating machinery

Use of this medicine may cause symptoms such as blurred vision, dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, etc. in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

Glaucoma

This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from pre-existing glaucoma due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Urinary Retention

This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from benign prostatic hyperplasia due to the increased risk of urinary retention. Close monitoring of kidney function tests, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Use in children

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 12 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Tachycardia

This medicine should be used with caution due to the increased risk of tachycardia (increased heart rate) and atrial fibrillation. Report any unusual symptoms such as changes in heart rate, palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness, etc. to the doctor immediately. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition.

Other diseases

Hypokalemia

Use of this medicine may cause a decrease in blood potassium levels and hence, it should be administered with caution in patients suffering from hypokalemia. Report any unusual symptoms to the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Paradoxical bronchospasm

Use of this medicine has been associated with worsening of asthma symptoms in some instances. Contact your doctor immediately if breathing becomes more difficult after using this medicine. It is advised to discontinue this medicine immediately in such cases.

Excessive use

This medicine is strictly recommended for use in the prescribed quantities only; excessive use may cause severe adverse effects and may prove fatal in extremely rare cases.

Hence, it should be used with extreme caution in patients suffering from hypokalemia, a disorder where potassium levels in the body are very low. Regular monitoring of blood potassium levels is necessary while receiving this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Seizures

This medicine should be administered with caution in patients with seizure disorders since the risk of increased frequency and severity of convulsions is significantly high.
