Description
Cefgol 100 MG Tablet is an antibiotic medicine that contains cefpodoxime. Cefgol 100 MG Tablet is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Your doctor may advise this medicine alone or in combination with other medications to treat bacterial infections. Cefgol 100 MG Tablet has side effects like diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Consult your doctor if any side effects are seen for a longer period. Do not take this medicine if you are previously allergic to it. Cefgol 100 MG Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Cefgol 100 MG Tablet can be taken with food for better absorption. For the ease of remembering, take it at the same time every day. Once the antibiotic is started, ensure that the entire course of treatment is completed. Avoid unnecessary use of Cefgol 100 MG Tablet, as excessive use may cause the bacteria to become resistant to antibiotics. Cefgol 100 MG Tablet effects may be delayed when taken with medications that reduce the production of stomach acids like antacids, proton pump inhibitors or H2 blockers. Therefore, take Cefgol 100 MG Tablet at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after taking antacids. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, before using Cefgol 100 MG Tablet.
