Description
Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet is a medication used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and congestive heart failure (the reduced ability of the heart to pump enough blood throughout the body). It works by relaxing the blood vessels and improving the blood flow throughout the body. Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet shows common side effects such as weight gain, tiredness, diarrhoea, weakness, dryness in the eyes, increased blood sugar levels, etc. If these symptoms persist or become worse, consult your doctor for further assistance. Avoid driving vehicles or operating heavy machines while taking this medication as it can cause dizziness. Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet may be taken with food or as directed by your doctor. Take it at the same time daily for the ease of remembering. Do not discontinue the medicine without consulting your doctor as it can worsen your condition. Avoid the consumption of alcohol while taking Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet due to the increased risk of side effects. Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet should be used with caution if you have phaeochromocytoma (tumour of the adrenal glands, glands located on top of the kidneys), thyroid problem (abnormal production of hormones by the thyroid gland), diabetes (high blood sugar level), prinzmetal's angina (severe chest pain due to spasms in the blood vessel that carry blood to the heart, thus causing reduced blood flow), Raynaud's syndrome (decreased blood flow in some parts of the body especially toes and fingers), or kidney condition. Inform your doctor about the use of this medicine before undergoing surgery. Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age due to insufficient safety and efficacy data. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking the medicine.

Allergy

Heart block greater than first degree

First-degree heart block is the least severe, second-degree heart block is severe and can often progress to third-degree heart block, the most severe form. Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet is not recommended if you have a second or third-degree heart block as it may worsen your condition.

Severe bradycardia

Bradycardia or slow heartbeat is when your heart beats less than 60 times per minute. Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you have severe bradycardia.

Cardiogenic shock

Cardiogenic shock is a serious condition in which the heart suddenly stops pumping enough blood to the vital organs of the body. Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet can further reduce cardiac output (amount of blood the heart pumps out in a minute) and blood pressure, which can be harmful if you have a cardiogenic shock.

Severe liver impairment

Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet is not recommended if you have severe liver problems as it can worsen your condition.

Sick sinus syndrome

Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet is not recommended if you have sick sinus syndrome (inability to create an adequate heart rate by the heart's natural pacemaker) as it can worsen your condition.

Decompensated heart failure

Heart failure is a condition in which the heart is unable to pump a sufficient amount of blood to meet the body's demands. Acute decompensated heart failure refers to the sudden worsening of the signs and symptoms of heart failure, such as breathing difficulty, swelling in the legs and feet, tiredness, etc. Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet is not recommended for use in case of acute decompensated heart failure requiring IV inotropic treatment (treatment to stimulate a weakened or injured heart and improve its pumping ability).

Use in children

Driving vehicles or operating machines

Phaeochromocytoma

Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet should be used with caution if you are suspected of having phaeochromocytoma (tumour of the adrenal glands, small triangular-shaped glands located on top of both kidneys), as it may cause an increase in blood pressure. Follow all the instructions given by your doctor.

Thyroid condition

Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet should be used with caution if you have a thyroid condition (abnormal production of hormones by the thyroid gland, a butterfly-shaped gland located at the base of the neck). Follow all the instructions given by your doctor. Avoid discontinuing this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Diabetes

Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet should be used with caution if you have diabetes (abnormally high blood sugar level), as this medicine may cause an alteration in blood sugar levels. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while you are taking this medicine.

Prinzmetal's Angina

Prinzmetal's Angina refers to severe chest pain due to spasms in the blood vessel that carry blood to the heart, thus causing reduced blood flow. Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet should be used with caution if you have Prinzmetal's angina as it may provoke chest pain. Follow all the instructions given by your doctor.

Raynaud's syndrome

Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet should be taken with caution if you have Raynaud's syndrome (decreased blood flow in some parts of the body especially toes and fingers) as it may further aggravate the condition. Follow all the instructions given by your doctor.

Kidney condition

Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet should be used with caution if you have kidney problems, as this medicine may cause further decline in kidney function. Follow all the instructions given by your doctor.

Scheduled surgery

Inform your doctor on a priority basis if you are undergoing a scheduled surgery while taking Carvibeta 3.125 MG Tablet.

Missed Dose
