Description
Calpsor Lotion is a synthetic vitamin D derivative used for the treatment of plaque psoriasis in adults and children above 6 years of age. It may be used alone or in a combination with other medicines.

Use in elderly

This medicine should be used with caution in the elderly patients since the risk of adverse effects is significantly higher. Appropriate dose adjustments may be necessary based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Use in children

This medicine is not recommended for use in children less than 6 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established. It should be used with extreme caution in children above 6 years of age since the risk of adverse effects is significantly higher. Use on the face

This medicine should not be applied on the face since severe itching, redness, or irritation may develop. Patients are advised to take precautions so that the medicine does not come into contact with the eyes or the face.

Hypercalcemia

This medicine should not be used in patients suffering from hypercalcemia (elevated blood calcium levels) or patients with an evidence of vitamin D toxicity since it may worsen the patient's condition.

Exposure to sunlight

Patients are advised to avoid excessive exposure to sunlight (natural and artificial both) during treatment with this medicine. Appropriate precautionary measures should be taken while stepping outside at daytime.

Missed Dose

Apply the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next scheduled application, then the missed dose can be skipped. Do not use extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
