Description
Buminate 20 % Infusion contains human albumin which is a major protein found in your blood. This medicine is made of plasma proteins from human blood. This medicine works by increasing plasma volume or levels of albumin in your blood. Buminate 20 % Infusion is used to restore and maintain blood circulation where there is a low blood volume. Buminate 20 % Infusion may cause some side effects like nausea, vomiting, fever, chills, fast heart rate, mild rash, and flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling). However; these side effects are temporary and resolve with time. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist for a long time. Buminate 20 % Infusion is usually administered to the vein in the clinic or hospital by your doctor. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration. Your doctor will calculate the dose of Buminate 20 % Infusion and how often you will receive it to obtain the correct levels in your blood. Buminate 20 % Infusion should not be taken if you have severe anaemia (lack of red blood cells), or severe heart failure. It should be taken under your doctor's supervision if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor about any medical conditions that you have before taking this injection. Avoid consuming alcohol while you are on treatment with this medicine as it may worsen your health condition.

Allergy

Values such as arterial blood pressure, pulse rate, central venous pressure, pulmonary artery occlusion pressure, urine output, etc. will be monitored closely during and post-administration of this medicine based on your clinical condition.
