Description
Betnovate 0.1% Lotion is a topical medicine that contains Betamethasone. It is used to relieve swelling, redness, and itching of the skin caused due to various skin conditions such as dermatitis (swelling in the skin), psoriasis (a skin disease that causes red, itchy scaly patches), etc. This medicine works by preventing the release of substances that causes skin swelling, redness, and itching on your skin. Betnovate 0.1% Lotion shows some side effects like burning sensation, irritation, itching, or dryness at the application site. However, these side effects may occur at the initial phase and subside by themselves as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they continue to bother you. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Betnovate 0.1% Lotion is for external use only. Use it regularly as directed by your doctor. Wash and dry the affected area before application. Spread a thin layer of the lotion over the affected area. Do not cover the affected area with bandages unless directed by your doctor. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. In case it comes in contact with these areas, rinse with plenty of water. Avoid using Betnovate 0.1% Lotion for other skin conditions not prescribed by your doctor, or around the genital and rectal areas as it may cause serious side effects. Betnovate 0.1% Lotion is not recommended for use in children below one year of age. Children below 12 years of age should not use this medicine for more than five days. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Allergy
