Description
Amurol 100 MG Drops is a penicillin-type antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. This antibiotic is used to treat different types of bacterial infections of the throat, lungs, ears, nose, joints, urinary tract, and skin. Amurol 100 MG Drops is also used with other medications to kill helicobacter pylori bacteria that cause stomach ulcers. It stops the growth of bacteria causing the infection. It is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Side effects of Amurol 100 MG Drops are diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to penicillin. Use it cautiously in individuals with kidney problems. Amurol 100 MG Drops can make birth control pills less effective. You may be asked to take a different way of birth control methods to prevent unintended pregnancy. You can take Amurol 100 MG Drops with or without food. For the ease of remembering, take this amoxycillin suspension around the same time every day. Once an antibiotic is started, it is always recommended to finish the entire course of treatment. For the best results, take this antibiotic at evenly spaced times.

Antibiotic resistance

Finish your entire course of treatment with Amurol 100 MG Drops, even if the condition gets better to avoid antibiotic resistance (the bacteria may become resistant to antibiotics). If you still feel unwell after completing your antibiotic course, make an appointment to consult your doctor.

Driving or operating machinery

Amurol 100 MG Drops may cause dizziness, confusion, or fits in some people. Do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery after taking this medicine.

Mononucleosis

Mononucleosis is also called as kissing disease is an infection caused by Epstein-Barr virus. It is spread through saliva. People with mononucleosis may develop a maculopapular skin rash (flat and small raised bumps on the skin) after 5-10 days of treatment with Amurol 100 MG Drops and resolves within days of discontinuing the use. Amurol 100 MG Drops may not be appropriate medicine in patients with mononucleosis.

Colitis

Amurol 100 MG Drops can kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and leads to diarrhoea. Therefore use Amurol 100 MG Drops with extreme caution in patients with gastrointestinal (mouth to anus) diseases, particularly colitis (swelling of the inner lining of the colon), since it may worsen the patient's condition.

Kidney Disease

Amurol 100 MG Drops is filtered by the kidney and moved out of the body through urine. Patients with kidney diseases need special consideration while taking Amurol 100 MG Drops due to the risk of kidney damage. Dose adjustment should be done based on the clinical condition.

Urine Sugar Test

Amurol 100 MG Drops is moved out from the body via urine. High urine concentrations of Amurol 100 MG Drops might give a false-positive result for the urine sugar test (test to determine the presence of glucose). Inform your doctor or lab technician about the use of Amurol 100 MG Drops before doing this test.
