Description

Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion is an antibiotic containing Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid. This antibiotic is given as an injection to treat different types of bacterial infections of the throat, lungs, ears, nose, urinary tract, and skin. Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion is also used with other medications to kill Helicobacter pylori bacteria that cause stomach ulcers. It is not effective against infections caused by viruses or fungus. Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion use may lead to side effects like diarrhoea, skin rash, pain at the injection site, headache, weakness, and dizziness. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to penicillin or any other antibiotic. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy or sleepy after receiving this medicine. Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion is injected into a muscle or into a vein. Your doctor will determine how often the injections should be given based on the severity and location of the infection. Once an antibiotic is started, it is always recommended to finish the entire course of treatment. Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion can be given to both adults and children, but only by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting. Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion is given only when taking the antibiotic orally is not possible or the infection is severe. Sometimes, this medicine may be followed by oral form (tablets or capsules) of this antibiotic when recovery is seen by an injection. Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion may not be safe in certain conditions. Inform your doctor if you have/had any medical conditions such as liver, kidney or heart problems and also about other medications being taken before receiving Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion. Sinusitis

Sinusitis is the swelling of membranes that line your nose and surrounding sinuses (hollow, air-filled spaces behind the face). It is often caused by bacteria and sometimes, viruses and fungi. You may experience a stuffed nose and pain or pressure behind your eyes, nose, cheeks, or forehead. Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion is used to treat bacterial sinusitis.

Lower Respiratory Tract Infection

Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion is used to treat the following lung infections: 1. Pneumonia:- It is an infection of the air sacs in your lungs (either single or both lungs). It can be bacterial and viral. This medicine is used to treat pneumonia caused by bacteria. 2. Bronchitis:- It is the swelling and irritation of bronchial tubes that regulates air passage in your lungs. It is used to treat bronchitis caused by bacteria.

Acute otitis media

Acute otitis media (AOM), is an infection of your middle ear (the area behind the eardrum), common in infants and young children. Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion is used to treat acute otitis media caused by bacteria.

Pharyngitis/Tonsilitis

Pharyngitis and tonsillitis are infections that cause swelling and soreness in your throat and tonsils. Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion is used to treat pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and/or pharyngotonsillitis (when the infection affects both, the throat and the tonsils).

Skin Infection

Skin and soft tissue infections occur when the bacteria invade the skin and its supporting structures. Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion is used to treat all skin infections including abscess caused by bacteria.

Urinary Tract Infection

An infection in any part of your urinary system- the kidneys, bladder, ureters (tubes that properly urine from the kidney to the bladder), or urethra (lower opening of the urinary bladder) is called urinary tract infections (UTIs). Antibiotic resistance

Finish your entire course of treatment with Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion, even if the condition gets better to avoid antibiotic resistance (a condition where bacteria develop immunity to overcome the ability of antibiotics to kill them).

Liver disease

Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion may increase liver enzyme levels and cause liver swelling. If you have liver problems, you need special consideration while taking Symbiotik XL (1000/200 mg) Infusion due to the risk of liver damage. Your doctor may adjust the dose of this injection and may closely monitor your liver functioning if required, based on your clinical condition.

Form and method of administration

Colitis

Kidney Diseases
