Warnings for special population
Pregnancy
Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule is not recommended for use during pregnancy due to the risk of harmful effects on your baby. But in some cases, your doctor may prescribe this medicine if the benefits outweigh the risks. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with your doctor before using the medicine.
Breast-feeding
Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. It is not known if this medicine is passed through breast milk or not, therefore, as a precautionary method, it is not recommended unless the benefits outweigh the risks. Consult your doctor to understand more about the risk and benefits before taking this medication.
General warnings
Chronic malnutrition
Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule suppresses your appetite. Chronic malnutrition and fasting can increase the risk of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule toxicity. You may develop symptoms like extreme weakness, headache, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, difficulty in swallowing and blurred vision. Your doctor will prescribe a suitable dose depending on your body weight.
Increase in the blood pressure
Hypertension is high blood pressure. This medicine may affect the working of your heart which can lead to an increase in blood pressure. Hence, Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule should be used with caution if you have high blood pressure.
Infectious diarrhoea
Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule is not recommended for use in people with infectious diarrhoea as it may prolong and/or worsen the condition.
Tardive dyskinesia
Tardive dyskinesia (TD) is a condition that involves involuntary, repetitive movements of your face and body due to some problem in the central nervous system. This condition is caused by the long term use of some psychiatric medicines. Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule should be used with caution if you have tardive dyskinesia as it may aggravate your condition or induce previously suppressed symptoms.
Driving or operating machinery
Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule may cause dizziness, fainting, and drowsiness. It is advised that you do not perform activities that require high mental alertness like driving vehicles or operating machines if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.
Drug dependence and abuse
Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule has a high potential for addiction and abuse even at recommended dosages, especially with prolonged use. If you have been taking this medicine for a long time, or if your doctor suspects that you are becoming addicted to this medicine, he will gradually reduce the dosage before stopping it completely. You will be monitored closely for any changes in mood and behaviour. Any drug-seeking behaviour and any suspected personality changes should be informed to your doctor immediately.
Reduced fertility
Prolonged use of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule can reduce fertility in men and women in the reproductive age group as this medicine has a direct effect on the testes and ovaries causing reduced testosterone (male reproductive hormone) and estrogen (female reproductive hormone) secretions. Prolonged use of this medicine can also lead to opiate-induced endocrinopathy (a condition where the sex hormones in the body are suppressed due to long term use of opiate containing medicines).
Suicidal tendencies
Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule should be used with caution as it can depress the central nervous system and may cause or exacerbate mental depression and cause suicidal thoughts.
Withdrawal symptoms
If you stop using Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule suddenly, it may lead to withdrawal symptoms. This medicine should be stopped gradually in decreasing doses. You may experience symptoms of withdrawal like tremors, nausea, vomiting, chills, fever, diarrhoea, and even hallucinations in some cases.
Elderly patients
Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule should be used with caution in elderly people since the risk of severe side effects is significantly high in them.
Allergic skin reaction
Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsule may cause serious skin allergies without any warnings. These events may be fatal in rare cases. Signs and symptoms like skin rashes, hives (painful eruptions that itch and sting), fever, or other allergic symptoms should be reported to the doctor immediately. The treatment should be discontinued if these symptoms appear.
