Description
Rumigest Capsule is a medicine that contains Dienogest (a type of progestogen that produces effects similar to those of the natural female sex hormone progesterone in the body). It is used in the treatment of pelvic pain associated with endometriosis, in which tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside the uterus. It works by suppressing the activity of a hormone that causes endometriosis.
Rumigest Capsule has some side effects like acne, headache, mood swings, weight gain, etc. These side effects may subside with time. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects bother you for a long time or worsen. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it.
Rumigest Capsule can be taken with or without food in the dose and for the duration prescribed by your doctor. This medicine can be started from the first day of the menstrual cycle without a break. Take it every day at the same time for the ease of remembering and for its effectiveness. It is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.
Rumigest Capsule may not be suitable for all people. Inform your doctor if you have heart, liver, kidney problems, diabetes, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding. Also, report to your doctor all the medicines that you may be using. This medicine is not recommended for use if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding.

Depression
Rumigest Capsule may cause lack of interest, alteration in mood, sleep disturbances in some people. It should be used with caution if you have an active/past instance of depression.
Changes in menstural bleeding
Use Rumigest Capsule with caution as it may cause a change in bleeding pattern. Heavy bleeding may lead to low blood levels. Consult your doctor if you notice abnormal menstrual bleeding while taking this medicine.
Contraception
The use of hormonal contraceptives should be discontinued before starting the treatment with Rumigest Capsule. If contraception is required other barrier methods can be used.

Missed Dose
Do not skip any dose of Rumigest Capsule. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of an overdose with Rumigest Capsule.
