Description

Rexidin Plus Mouth Rinse is a combination of Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Sodium Monofluorophosphate, and Triclosan. It is used for the prevention and treatment of gingivitis (swelling of your gums), mouth ulcers (painful sores on the inner lining of your mouth), oral thrush (fungal infection inside your mouth). It also helps to maintain oral hygiene and prevents the occurrence of oral infections. Rexidin Plus Mouth Rinse exerts anti-bacterial and antiseptic effects and prevents the growth of infection-causing microbes. Rexidin Plus Mouth Rinse may cause burning/stinging sensation, mouth/gum irritation, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Rexidin Plus Mouth Rinse should be used as directed by your doctor. Continue using this medicine for the prescribed duration to effectively treat your condition. Do not rinse your mouth with water or eat/drink for 10 to 15 minutes after using this medicine. Rexidin Plus Mouth Rinse should be avoided if you are allergic to it. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are planning a pregnancy, consult your doctor before using this medication.

What is it prescribed for?

Gingivitis

Gingivitis, also known as gum inflammation, is the swelling of your gingiva (the part of your gum around the base of your teeth). It commonly occurs due to poor oral hygiene, resulting in the formation of dental plaques (sticky, colourless film of bacteria that forms on your teeth). Symptoms may include swollen, puffy gums that are tender and/or bleed easily. Rexidin Plus Mouth Rinse is used in the prevention and treatment of gingivitis.

Mouth ulcers

Mouth ulcers are painful sores that occur on the inner lining of your lips, gums, tongue, and roof of your mouth. Rexidin Plus Mouth Rinse is used in the prevention and treatment of mouth ulcers.

Oral thrush

Oral thrush, also known as oral candidiasis, is a fungal infection that develops inside your mouth. Symptoms may include creamy white lesions that may occur on your tongue, inner cheeks, the roof of your mouth, gums, tonsils, or the back of your throat. Rexidin Plus Mouth Rinse is used in the prevention and treatment of oral thrush.

Oral hygiene
