Description

Onabet 2 % Lotion is a topical antifungal medicine. It is used in the treatment of an athlete's foot (a fungal infection that causes itchy, scaly, and white patches on the feet and between the toes). Onabet 2 % Lotion works by slowing the growth of fungi that cause infection. Onabet 2 % Lotion may cause side effects like burning sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. These symptoms last only for a few days and subside with time. Consult your doctor if these side effects do not resolve with time or worsen. Onabet 2 % Lotion is recommended for external use only. Clean and dry the affected area before application. Apply a thin layer of this lotion to the affected area and spread evenly. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse immediately with water in case of accidental contact Onabet 2 % Lotion should be avoided if you are allergic to it. This medicine is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are planning a pregnancy, consult your doctor before using this medication.

Tinea pedis or Athlete's foot is a fungal infection that usually begins between your toes, and spreads to the toenails and up the sides of your feet. You may get this infection by coming in contact with infected skin or contaminated surfaces such as towels, shoes, etc. This condition is common in people whose feet become sweaty while using tight-fitting shoes. Onabet 2 % Lotion is used in the treatment of Tinea pedis.

Onabet 2 % Lotion is meant for external use only. Use it as directed by your doctor. Close the cover of the tube immediately after use to keep it clean and free from contamination. Do not wipe or rinse the tip of the tube. Use Onabet 2 % Lotion at around the same time daily for the ease of remembrance. Do not cover the application area with bandages or other coverings unless instructed by your doctor. The infected area may cause itchiness. Avoid scratching as it will damage the surface of your skin and cause the infection to spread further. Keep your feet clean and dry, particularly between the toes. Cut your nails short and prefer open-toe shoes for everyday use. Use a separate clean towel for the feet and wear clean cotton socks. Never share your socks, shoes, and towel with others. Do not share Onabet 2 % Lotion with others even if their condition appears to be the same as yours.
