Onabet Powder

Manufactured byGlenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Description
Onabet Powder is a topical antifungal medicine. It is used in the treatment of various fungal infections of the skin such as athlete's foot (a fungal infection that usually begins between the toes), jock itch (a fungal infection that causes a red and itchy rash in warm and moist areas of the body) and ringworm infections. Onabet Powder works by slowing the growth of fungi that cause infection. Onabet Powder may cause side effects like burning sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. These symptoms last only for a few days and subside with time. However, consult your doctor if these side effects do not resolve with time or worsen. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it. Onabet Powder is recommended for external use only. Clean and dry the affected area before application. Apply this powder as prescribed by your doctor. Keep the powder away from the eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse immediately with water in case of accidental contact. Onabet Powder can take a few weeks to clear the infection and a few months for your skin to become normal. Consult your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or your condition worsens even after two to four weeks of treatment. Onabet Powder is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age as the safety and efficacy data are not available. Inform your doctor if you have any other skin conditions or using any other topical medicines. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
