Metolar 5 MG Injection is a heart medicine that contains Metoprolol. It is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), angina pectoris (chest pain caused when your heart muscle does not get enough oxygen-rich blood), and arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat). Metolar 5 MG Injection helps in preventing heart attack (a blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle) and stroke (damage to the brain from interruption of its blood supply). Metolar 5 MG Injection works by reducing the rate and force of the contractions of your heart. Thus it decreases high blood pressure.
Metolar 5 MG Injection may cause side effects like headache, breathing difficulty, and pain at the injection site. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist for a long time. This medicine may also cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines after taking this medicine. Do not receive Metolar 5 MG Injection if you are allergic to it.
Metolar 5 MG Injection is administered into your vein by a health care professional in the hospital setting. Cardiac arrhythmia is a condition where your heartbeats are irregular. Metolar 5 MG Injection slows down the activity of your heart allowing your heart to beat slower and less forcefully. Therefore it is used to treat heart rhythm problems.
Acute myocardial infarction
Myocardial infarction or a heart attack occurs when one of your heart's blood vessels is blocked due to a clot or when the blood flow to your heart decreases or stops. Metolar 5 MG Injection causes blood vessels to relax resulting in an improved blood flow to your heart. Metolar 5 MG Injection is used in comination with oral metoprolol maintenance therapy to treat acute myocardial infarction.

Glaucoma
