Description

Dazolic 500 mg Infusion is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent, which is used for treating the severe infections of the gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, genital areas, etc caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria or amoeba. It is also used for the prevention of post-operative infections.

What is it prescribed for?

Anaerobic bacterial infections

This medicine is used for treating the infections in the gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, genital areas, skin, etc caused by susceptible strains of anaerobic bacteria.

Surgical prophylaxis

This medicine is used for the prevention of postoperative infections in patients who are undergoing contaminated or potentially contaminated surgeries.

Amoebic Liver Abscess

This medicine is used for the treatment of amebic liver abscess (accumulation of pus) caused by Entamoeba histolytica.

Severe amoebic dysentery

This medicine is used for the treatment of severe diarrhea with blood, stomach pain and cramps, tiredness, and swelling of the intestine. It is mainly caused due to infections caused by various strains of amoeba.

Epilepsy

Blood cell count
