Description

Clop-S Nano Lotion is a combination of Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid. This medicine is used to treat skin conditions such as psoriasis (a condition where the skin cells build and form dry patches) and eczema (dry, red, itchy and bumpy skin with irritation). Clop-S Nano Lotion contains Clobetasol which prevents the formation of certain chemical substances in your body that are responsible for redness, swelling, and itching. This medication causes itching and peeling of the outer layer of the skin, thus allowing Clobetasol to penetrate more effectively. Clop-S Nano Lotion may cause burning, itching, irritation and dryness of your skin. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or if they become severe. Clop-S Nano Lotion should be applied externally to the affected part of your skin as directed by your doctor. Continue using this medicine for the prescribed duration to avoid a flare-up of your symptoms. Clop-S Nano Lotion should be avoided if you are allergic to it. This medicine is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Uses of Clop-S Nano Lotion

What is it prescribed for?

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic (long-term) autoimmune condition (your immune system malfunctions and attacks healthy cells of your body) that causes your cells to multiply faster than normal. This causes a buildup of skin cells, resulting in scaling on your skin’s surface. The most characteristic symptom is the presence of a skin rash with red, itchy, scaly patches (usually on your knees, elbows, and scalp). Clop-S Nano Lotion is used in the treatment of psoriasis.

Eczema

Eczema, also called atopic dermatitis, is a condition that causes your skin to become dry, red, and itchy (usually on your arms and behind the knees). It is common in children, usually develops in early childhood, and is more common in people who have a family history of this condition. Clop-S Nano Lotion is used in the treatment of eczema.

How it works

Clop-S Nano Lotion is a combination of Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid. Clobetasol belongs to a class of medicines called corticosteroids (steroids). It works by decreasing the formation of certain chemical substances in your body that are responsible for causing redness, swelling, and itching of the affected part of your skin. Salicylic acid causes the outer layers of your skin to peel and shed where it is applied. Since it takes off the upper layer of your skin, when given in combination, it allows clobetasol to penetrate more effectively.
