Description
Clop-S Ointment is a topical medicine that consists of Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid. It helps to treat symptoms like redness, swelling, and itching associated with skin conditions such as psoriasis (a condition where the skin cells build-up, resulting in dry and scaly patches) and eczema (dry, red, itchy, and bumpy skin that causes skin irritation). Clop-S Ointment may rarely cause burning sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. These symptoms usually resolve with time. However, consult your doctor if they bother you for a longer time or become severe. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it. Clop-S Ointment is meant for use on the skin only. Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected areas and spread uniformly. Keep the affected areas clean and dry to prevent infections. Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth. Rinse immediately with water in case of accidental contact. Continue using this medicine for the prescribed duration to avoid a flare-up of your symptoms. Clop-S Ointment is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Inform your doctor if you have any other skin conditions or using any other topical medications before starting the treatment. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

How it works
Clop-S Ointment is composed of Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid. Clobetasol works by reducing the action of certain chemicals that cause swelling and irritation of the skin. Salicylic Acid softens and loosens the dry, scaly, or thickened skin, which causes shedding of the outer layer of the skin.
