Description
Biduret-L Tablet is a combination medicine which may be used to treat high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, fluid retention with liver cirrhosis. This medicine should be used with caution in patients with liver and kidney disease. Frequent monitoring of blood pressure and electrolyte levels is necessary while taking this medicine. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age.

What is it prescribed for?
Hypertension
This medicine is used in the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), which is an increase in the blood pressure caused by genetic and/or environmental factors.
Congestive Heart Failure
This medicine is used in the treatment of congestive heart failure which is a type of heart disease characterized by shortness of breath, weakness, fatigue, and swelling of ankles and feet.
Edema and/or ascites associated with liver cirrhosis
This medicine is used to reduce the swelling in the hands, feet, and ankles associated with cirrhosis of the liver, renal diseases, congestive heart failure, etc.

Allergy

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with anuria (a condition where the kidney is unable to produce urine) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.
Severe renal impairment
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe renal impairment (BUN > 30 mg/dL, Scr > 1.5 mg/dL) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.
Hyperkalemia
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with hyperkalemia (elevated blood levels of potassium in the body) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Kidney Disease
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of renal diseases due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Hyperkalemia
This medicine may increase potassium levels in the blood (hyperkalemia). This may cause serious side effects such as fatal cardiac rhythm irregularities. It is advised to avoid potassium-rich foods (potatoes, bananas) and other medicines that may increase potassium levels (ACE inhibitors and potassium supplements) during treatment with this medicine. Driving or operating machinery

This medicine may alter the blood volume and electrolyte levels in some patients. This may cause dizziness, dry mouth, and acid-base imbalance.
