Description
Alphagan Z Ophthalmic Solution is used in the treatment of ocular hypertension and glaucoma. These are conditions characterised by increased intra-ocular pressure (increased pressure within your eyeballs) due to an imbalance in the production and drainage of the fluid in your eyes. If untreated, they can eventually lead to vision loss. This medicine works by reducing the production of fluid in your eyes and lowering eye pressure. Alphagan Z Ophthalmic Solution shows some common side effects like blurred vision, dry eyes, and burning sensations in the eyes. Most of these last for a short duration and get resolved with time. Consult your doctor if these side effects bother you. You should avoid driving immediately after using this medicine as your vision might be a little blurry. Alphagan Z Ophthalmic Solution is for external use only. Instill Alphagan Z Ophthalmic Solution as instructed by your doctor. Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to squeeze the eye drop from the dropper. Complete the whole treatment to see maximum benefits. Alphagan Z Ophthalmic Solution is not recommended if you have a known allergy to this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines as they might interact with Alphagan Z Ophthalmic Solution. Use this medicine with caution if you have pre-existing liver or kidney problems. Alphagan Z Ophthalmic Solution is not recommended in children below two years of age. In general, this medicine should be used with caution and close monitoring in children above two years. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
