Critical Care Nutrition is my field of research interest. Until my late teens, I have lived in rural India, and around us, there were no appropriate diagnostic facilities and treatment available for critically ill patients. Also, due to a dearth of finances and awareness, I could see helplessness around me over what was needed to be done if someone is critically ill. When my father got critically ill, he was admitted to ICU in the nearest city hospital and needed to stay there for weeks; I saw how crucial was Critical Care Nutrition for the treatment of the patient.I wanted to study Nutrition and join the people who served as health care providers. I did my Master's in "Dietetics and Food Nutrition. "I believe Nutritional care is a crucial part of successful, supportive care and management of diseases. This also is the foundation of treatment as a food-first approach; encouraging patients to eat a diverse, good quality, complete diet is the ideal method of administrating Nutrition. I want to be skilled in diagnosing illnesses correctly and devise suitable treatments for patients who are entirely dependent on others in ICU.
