Dr. Subrata Guha Thakurta

I entered Calcutta Medical College in 1980 after completing my plus 2 from St Xavier's Collegiate School in Calcutta.Did my initial training at the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology Calcutta under Prof I S Roy.Did my DO in Aligarh Muslim University.I went to the UK in 1990 where I stayed till January 1998. I got trained in phacoemulsification, glaucoma management, medical retina (including lasers) and general ophthalmology during my stay there.Returned in 1998 to set up Westbank Hospital in Howrah with a number of my friends. Recently we were taken over by the Narayana group.I joined AMRI Medical Centre at the same time.At present I see and operate on patients at AMRI Medical Centre in South Calcutta and at Narayana Multispecialty Hospital in Howrah. I also see patients in Narayana Superspeciality Hospital in Howrah.My personal clinic is in Conveno Diagnostic Centre near Gol Park.
