We had a prior appointment with Dr. Soumitra Das, MD, for 4:00 PM sharp, with our name proudly holding the #1 spot on the list, as confirmed by the receptionist. We arrived at the Kaikhali Polyclinic on 8th August at precisely 3:55 PM. There was not a single patient ahead of us.From that moment, we were treated to a full hour of creative excuses. The receptionist kept assuring us that the doctor was “on his way” but “stuck in traffic.” This same line was repeated like a well-worn lullaby for sixty minutes straight. The doctor finally graced the clinic with his presence at around 5:00 PM — no apology, no explanation, not even the courtesy of acknowledging that we had been waiting. Apparently, the concept of informing the clinic (and thereby the patient) of a significant delay is a luxury reserved *** ****** ********My mother, for whom this visit was intended, had to sit in discomfort for a full hour. When the consultation finally began, it lasted all of two minutes. The doctor barely listened, seemed entirely disinterested, and radiated an air that suggested our time was worth far less than his*** ****** ** ******** ** ***************** **** ***** ** ******* If you value your time, your dignity, and even the faintest hint of patient care, I would strongly recommend seeking medical advice elsewhere. This was my first and last visit.
