Dr. Tanmoy Mukherjee is a ********** Kind, thoughtful, professional *** * ***** ********. A fantastic surgeon and an even better human being. From the beginning, he answered every question from the patient and family about the surgery. He is clear about the procedure and clarifies every doubt. At moments of need, not with the surgery, but other related issues, he was always available at the end of the phone and helped solve problems. Post surgery, Doctor checked in every day keeping a close eye on the progress and encouraging the patient to get well and on their feet. Further, the morning after the day patient was released from the hospital, Dr. Mukherjee rang up the family to find out how the patient was doing. We cannot thank him enough from Datta family.

Dr. Tanmoy Mukherjee is the first surgeon I have interacted in my life and it's been such a treat to have him as a doctor- he is definitely one of the best surgeons in Kolkata. Right from the first interaction, he was very very candid and transparent, and clear on what needed to be done. He explained the pros and cons using visual diagrams that patients family can easily understand.

He performed a laparoscopic low anterior resection surgery for a family member having adenocarcinoma involving the sigmoid colon and rectum. This surgery was a big one and challenging due to age and other comorbidities, at least in our mind. Once the doctor saw the patient, it's his confidence that helped us move forward with the decision for surgery.

The surgery lasted nine long hours, but eventually our patient was out and about! He was back to his senses within less than a day and well on his way to recovery within 2 weeks. Dr. Tanmoy Mukherjee did my gallbladder stone surgery. It's a very common surgery but I was scared because It was my first surgery and my first hospitalization.

The most positive thing about his treatment was that he zeroed down all my medicines on the first day of my visit. Before visiting him I was having 9 medicines a day for the same ailment. He just prescribed one emergency medicine for any major pain attack.

He explains things very well, he even drew the physiological problem i was having and always had an attitude like 'nothing major had happened' which actually built my confidence.

The patient doctor communication was direct throughout the whole treatment. there was no mediator/agent/assistant kind of person unlike the first surgeon I visited. Hospital authority only dealt with my billing things and other hospitalization formalities. There was no 3rd party interference. I actually found this helpful.

Post operation also he explained about my surgery very well, prescribed medicines for only 7 days. He was available over phone/ whatsapp.

Maybe I still have issues about the fact that I don't have an organ but it's ok if the doctor suggests to you that only a pan 40 can heal you afterwards, life is good.
