I was suffering from the above pain since 25 years,and many doctors could not properly diagnose the cause

of pain and prescribed pain killers, which had many side effects like indigestion,heart burn ,and loose motion.

I was not entirely satisfied with the results,and one day I switched on my TV and to my surprise Dr.Santosh Kumar was being interviewed about knee replacement ,cause and effects,and finally its success rate.

The next day i.e.30 of Sept 2015 i contacted him and today i.e.19/2/2016 i am fit and fine, at least 50%better after 2 months,and now 90% better say after 4 months plus.No indigestion/no heart burn/ and no loose motion and other side effects. The only regret i have is why no body recommended this life saver doctor to me before when my mother had leg femur and one leg was short by 2 inches after operation,the knee cap was removed by a well known doctor in kolkata,and as a result my mother was bedridden for 21 years.

I highly recommend Dr. Santosh Kumar for any orthopedic problems. He performed my mother-in-law's (age 74) hip replacement and my mother's (age 68) both knee replacement. Both are completely healthy now.

My mother recovered completely after knee surgery within 2 months, without much pain or discomfort!

He explains all things very nicely and responds to calls and whatsapp.

I met a lady in a group tour who could run and climb hundred steps at ease. My family could hardly walk due to knee pain and the trip was partly flop. Sadly!.

You will find this doctor to be very attentive at the time of admission; however, once the patient is discharged, he hardly shows any concern or follow-up care.

My father underwent knee replacement surgery on 31st January 2025. Post-surgery, he experienced persistent heat, swelling, and discoloration in the operated knee. Dr. Santosh Kumar charged approx. Rs.4.2 lakhs- (Full charge including hospitalization) for one knee surgery with 2 times operation on the same knee, that too within 3 weeks.

We tried to connect with Dr. Santosh Kumar after 1st surgery due to complications, but there was no response from him or his team for 10 days. It's a life risk we faced. My father had very low haemoglobin of 5.8 and soakage from surgery wound, but there was no response from Santosh Kumar. He showed no responsibility from his side. He might have been a good doctor before but now he has become arrogant. His only comment was if infection is spread he cant do anything and this things happen and its not upon him if there is infection after surgery.

He even charges patient registration Rs. 50 every visit and additional Rs.50 for family members visiting with patient. He charges Rs.1200. So total charge per visit is Rs.1300

TKR of the both knee of my father aged 82 years done by DR Santosh Kumar in dec 17- he is now well. The finest doctor of TKR in kolkata today. Only advise all patient to listen to his advise and let him decide the course of treatment - single knee or both knee. In my father case both knee were operated simultaneously and he was released within 72 hours.
